About Cozumel Dive Hub
Cozumel Dive Hub is an independent guide to scuba diving in Cozumel, written by divers who live and work on the island. We are not a dive shop and we do not run boats. What we do is know this island — the operators, the crews, the reefs and the seasons — and put that knowledge somewhere you can use it.
Why We Built This
We kept coming back to Cozumel. Over the years we have had some of the best diving of our lives here, and a few trips that would have gone better if we had known then what we know now.
The planning was always the same scramble. Review sites full of opinions from people on their first ever dive. Facebook groups where the same handful of shops get recommended by their own customers. Fifty-six operator websites all claiming to be the best one. And nothing that covered the diving and everything around it in one place — where to eat after a boat day, how to get across the island, which beach club is worth the taxi.
So we built it. Cozumel Dive Hub is put together with local divers, shop owners and guides who actually work here, and it covers the whole island rather than one slice of it. We do the digging so you are not stitching together half-answers from six different tabs at midnight before your trip.

Who Writes This
Luisa Carmona is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer living and working in Cozumel. She has been diving its reefs most of her life and has thousands of dives logged here. She knows the reefs season by season and the marine life that comes with them, and has great friendships and relationships with the shops and guides working the island. Each year her knowledge helps hundreds of visitors get more out of diving in Cozumel.

Every dive center listed here has been checked. We know who runs small groups, who runs fast boats, who teaches well and who is set up for photographers. That is not something you can tell from a website.
We say what an operator would not. If a famous dive is beyond your training, if a tour is not worth giving up a day of diving for, or if the cheapest quote on the island is cheap for a reason, that is in the guide.
