Overview

Cozumel Experiences is the tour arm of the Playa Uvas beach club on the south coastal road, so its ATV trips start and end at a real beach club rather than a roadside meeting point. Three off-road itineraries run several times a day, and each one folds lunch and beach time into the price.

What The Tour Covers

The ATV Tour to Jade Cavern takes the jungle track to the largest cavern on the island for a swim, then returns to Playa Uvas for food and snorkelling, at $69 per person. The ATV Seashore and Cenote combination pairs a run up to Mezcalitos on the wild east side with a Mayan cenote stop, at $80 for a single ATV or $140 for a double. ATV Ride and Clear Boat swaps the cenote for a clear-bottom boat trip and runs $80 for adults and $69 for children aged seven to twelve. All three last about five hours.

Group Size And Vehicles

The fleet is Honda 250 semi-automatic quads. A double machine is an extra $36 on top of the single-rider fare, so two people can share. Anyone driving needs a valid driver licence; children from seven can ride as passengers.

Good To Know

Divers can treat this as a safe surface day: the whole route is at sea level on the island. Note that the Jade Cavern and the small Mayan cenote here are island features, not the deep mainland cenotes near Tulum, which need the Playa del Carmen ferry.

Getting There

The base is at Carretera a Chankanaab Km 8.5 in the south hotel zone, an easy fixed-rate taxi from downtown or the cruise piers.
