Overview

Xperiensea sells private sunset time rather than seats on a party boat. Two formats are published, both three hours, both with top-shelf drinks, and the difference is how seriously you want to eat while the sun goes down off the west coast.

What The Trip Includes

The Classic Sunset Cruise is a three-hour private charter for up to six guests at $1,050, with additional guests at $80 each, including premium cocktails, wine and non-alcoholic drinks plus light snacks. The Premium Buccanos Sunset Cruise is $1,350 for up to four guests, additional guests $80 each, and swaps the snacks for a gourmet five-course menu.

Boat And Group Size

Both cruises are private, so the boat is yours. The Classic is sized around six guests and the Premium around four, with extra places available at a per-person supplement.

Good To Know

Sunset on the leeward side of Cozumel is the reliably calm part of the day, which makes this a good pick for anyone prone to seasickness or for a non-diving partner who has had enough of boats that bounce. It is also the one activity that does not conflict with a no-fly or no-dive window.

Getting There

The Classic Sunset Cruise leaves from Marina Fonatur on the north side of San Miguel. The Premium Buccanos cruise uses a customisable departure point agreed when you book. Confirm your boarding time with the office.

  • • Private three-hour sunset cruises, no shared seats

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the two sunset cruises?
The Classic is $1,050 for up to six guests with light snacks. The Premium Buccanos cruise is $1,350 for up to four and includes a gourmet five-course menu.
Can we bring more than the base number of guests?
Yes. Additional guests are $80 per person on both the Classic and Premium cruises.
Are drinks included?
Yes. Both cruises include top-shelf beverages: premium cocktails, wine and non-alcoholic options.
Where does the boat leave from?
The Classic Sunset Cruise departs Marina Fonatur. The Premium Buccanos cruise uses a customisable departure location agreed at booking.
Is a sunset cruise a safe choice after diving?
Yes. There is no depth exposure and the leeward side is usually calm at sunset, so it fits inside a no-fly or no-dive window.
