Overview & Experience
Best Dive Cozumel is a NAUI Pro Platinum Training Center on Avenida Adolfo Rosado Salas in the Colonia Centro district of San Miguel de Cozumel. It is owned and run by Master Instructor Adolfo Sanguino Cisneros, who the shop states has been diving in Cozumel and delivering scuba diver certifications for 20 years.
The operation is deliberately small. In its own words: "We are small dive operation and we like to keep it small and simple — (KISS)" and "We are not the biggest, but we are the Safest!" Trips are described as customised, flexible, personalised and friendly, with service for 1 to 8 people, and the shop applies a maximum of seven divers per certified divemaster.
Best Dive Cozumel is also a NAUI VA Testing Center, working with US veterans through the G.I. Bill — an unusual credential among Cozumel dive shops and a reason the operation attracts American service members and veterans looking to train on benefits.

Why Best Dive Cozumel Stands Apart
The NAUI credential is the clearest differentiator. Cozumel is overwhelmingly a PADI island, and a Pro Platinum Training Center is NAUI's top facility rating — so a diver who trained NAUI at home, or who prefers NAUI's academic approach, has a genuine home here rather than a compromise.
Second, the VA Testing Center status. Very few dive shops anywhere are set up to process veteran testing and G.I. Bill training, and none of the other Cozumel operations advertise it.
Third, the shop leads with safety rather than volume. DAN oxygen on board, a stated maximum of seven divers per divemaster, and an explicit "not the biggest, but the safest" positioning are not marketing dressing on an eight-person operation — they are the operating model.
