Where You Will See It In Cozumel
Palancar Gardens, Paso del Cedral and Yucab, usually in pairs moving unhurriedly along the coral.

Behaviour
Sponge-eaters that pair for long periods. They are curious but keep a working distance, and tend to circle a coral head rather than flee.
Commonly Confused With
- Blue angelfish — Blue angelfish lacks the crown and has a pale, blue-edged tail rather than a solid yellow one.
- Queen–blue hybrid — Hybrids show a partial or broken crown and an intermediate tail — genuinely common in the Caribbean.
Diving Etiquette And Safety
Nothing required. The crown and tail colour together are what separate a true queen from a hybrid in a photograph.
