Overview
Blu-emotion operates from the ASIPONA Marina at Carretera Costera Sur Km 6.5, south of downtown. It is a PADI operation of more than fifteen years built around private trips and one-to-one course delivery rather than group classes, and it runs its service in Japanese, English and Spanish.
Why Choose Blu-emotion
It is the clearest Japanese-language operation on the island. Cozumel has almost no Japanese-language diving provision. For a Japanese-speaking diver — particularly one taking a course, where theory, medical questions and skill correction all have to be understood precisely — that is not a convenience, it is the deciding factor.
Private is the default, not an upgrade. Most Cozumel shops sell a seat on a boat and offer private guiding at a premium. Here the model starts private, which means the pace of a course follows the student rather than the slowest person in a group of six.

Courses And Diving
PADI certification courses, Discover Scuba Diving, and standard two-tank boat dives. Beyond the reef, it runs cenote diving on the mainland and whale shark swim tours in season — the two Yucatán trips most divers want to add to a Cozumel week.

Location And Logistics
ASIPONA Marina at Km 6.5 on the Costera Sur is the main southern departure point, which puts the boat closer to Palancar, Colombia and the southern reefs than a downtown pier does. It is a short taxi from town and very close to the southern hotels.
Because trips run privately, departure timing is arranged individually rather than fixed — confirm directly.
Who It Is Best For
Japanese-speaking divers. Anyone who wants a course taught one-to-one. Divers staying in the southern hotel zone who would rather not commute into town each morning. Visitors planning to add cenotes or whale sharks to a Cozumel trip.
Less suited to divers looking for the cheapest seat on a shared morning boat — the private model prices differently.
How The Day Runs
Boats leave at 9:00 and 14:00. A typical two-tank morning puts the first dive on a wall to roughly 80 feet and the second shallower, at 40 to 60 feet, with bottom times between 50 and 70 minutes.
Departures are from Fonatur Marina. Hotel pier pick-up covers the south side of the island: El Presidente, Costa del Sol, Fiesta Americana, Sunscape Sabor, Secrets Aura, Residencias Reef, Occidental Cozumel, Allegro and Iberostar Cozumel. Divers arriving on the 08:00 ferry from Playa del Carmen can be accommodated, and cruise passengers with advance notice.
Two Rules Worth Knowing
Blu-emotion publishes two conditions that some shops leave vague.
A dive computer is mandatory. Every diver wears one. Rental regulator packages include a computer, so there is nothing to buy, but there is also no negotiating it.
No diving without certification, unless you are enrolled in the Discover Scuba course. That is a clear line, and a reasonable one.
DAN insurance is strongly recommended.
Trips Beyond The Reef
Alongside daily two-tank boat dives, the shop runs deep dives at Cathedral, Devil's Throat and Maracaibo Reef, night and twilight dives from both boat and shore, shore dives, cenote diving and mainland tours, and whale shark snorkelling in season. Nitrox and technical diving are not published.
Multi-day divers can leave gear with the shop between days rather than carrying it back and forth.
One Thing About Diving Cozumel
The reef here is part of the Mesoamerican Reef, the second-largest barrier reef system in the world, and the whole of Cozumel's western side sits inside a national marine park. Every diver pays a park fee on each dive day and wears a wristband to show it. The rules that come with it are strict — no gloves and nothing touched — and they are the reason the reef still looks the way it does.
