Blue Project Cozumel: The Complete Guide
A Good Fit for Divers Who Want Small Groups and Flexible Dive Planning
Blue Project Cozumel positions itself as a more personal alternative to larger, volume-driven dive operations on the island. Instead of focusing on high-capacity boats or tightly scheduled rotations, the experience centers on smaller groups, attentive dive guiding, and a pace that feels more adaptable to the divers onboard.
For travelers who want their dive days to feel less like a production line and more like a tailored outing, Blue Project Cozumel offers a distinct approach. The emphasis is on making each dive count rather than maximizing the number of divers per trip.
Why Choose Blue Project
One of the main reasons divers choose Blue Project Cozumel is the smaller group size. This naturally leads to more attentive dive briefings, better communication underwater, and a more relaxed pace on the boat.
Another key factor is flexibility. The operation tends to adapt the dive plan based on conditions and diver experience levels, rather than following a rigid, one-size-fits-all schedule.
Philosophy and Experience Style
Blue Project Cozumel leans toward a diver-first philosophy. The experience is built around giving guests time in the water, clear guidance, and a comfortable rhythm throughout the day.
Rather than emphasizing speed or volume, the focus is on quality dives with thoughtful site selection.

Courses and Training
Training is part of the offering, with a focus on core recreational courses and continuing education. The structure feels more individualized than high-throughput training environments.
This setup works well for divers who want to combine daily diving with skill development.
Divers comparing certification paths can also review the main dive courses in Cozumel guide before choosing the right training path.
Intro Dives and Beginner Appeal
Blue Project Cozumel can work well for beginners, particularly those who may feel intimidated by larger group settings. Smaller groups make it easier for instructors to provide direct attention.
The overall atmosphere is supportive without feeling overly formal.
Dive Trips and Packages
The core offering is built around two-tank morning dives. Trips are structured to keep the experience smooth and efficient while still allowing time to enjoy each site.
Multi-day packages are typically available for divers planning several consecutive dive days.
For divers still deciding which reefs fit their comfort level, the Cozumel dive sites guide is a useful place to understand the island’s main reef areas before booking.
Pricing
Pricing can change by season, package type, certification level, equipment needs, and boat schedule. Divers should confirm current rates directly before booking.

Boats, Gear, and Experience
The boat experience is designed to support smaller groups, creating a more comfortable and less crowded dive day. Entry and exit tend to be smoother, and surface intervals feel more relaxed.
Gear support is available, but many divers bring their own equipment. The setup prioritizes efficiency without losing a personal touch.
Location and Logistics
Blue Project Cozumel operates from the main town area, making it convenient for travelers staying in downtown accommodations. This simplifies daily logistics and reduces travel time.
Being close to town also makes it easy to combine diving with restaurants, shops, and other activities.
