Amstar DMC ATV Adventure to Jade Caverns

Amstar DMC is a destination management company operating across the Riviera Maya and Cozumel, and its ATV Adventure to Jade Caverns is the short, no-frills version of the island jungle ride. There is no beach club bolted on, which keeps the running time down to about two and a half hours.

What The Tour Covers

Riders meet at El Cedral, the oldest settlement on Cozumel, and take all-terrain machines out to the Jade Caverns, where jade-coloured water sits under a ceiling of rock formations and stalactites. The route also visits the Coral Cave caverns. Entrance fees, an experienced guide, safety equipment including helmets, goggles and bandanas, and bottled water are all included at $96 per service. Guides work in English and Spanish.

Group Size And Vehicles

All-terrain motorcycles. The minimum age is 10, and under-10s cannot ride even as passengers.

Good To Know

Hotel pickup is not offered on this tour; the meeting point is El Cedral and you make your own way there. That usually means a fixed-rate taxi from the south hotel zone or downtown, so agree the fare before you set off and arrange the return leg with the same driver if you can. As with every Cozumel jungle route this stays at sea level, so there is no altitude consideration for divers on a surface day. The Jade Caverns are an island cavern system, distinct from the mainland cenotes near Playa del Carmen and Tulum.

Getting There

El Cedral is inland from the south coastal road. Allow extra time on a cruise day, since the transfer is not handled for you.
