Overview

Guido's has been a fixture on the Cozumel waterfront for decades, a Swiss-Italian kitchen tucked into a shaded stone courtyard on Avenida Rafael E. Melgar between Calle 6 and Calle 8 Norte. It is a walk-in room by policy, and the wait is rarely long.

What To Order

Wood-fired pizzas and house-made pastas are the backbone of the menu, and the kitchen leans hard on fresh local fish and seafood. The lasagna and the garlic bread are the two things repeat visitors talk about most.

Good To Know

Guido's does not take reservations at all. Walk in and you are usually seated straight away; even at peak hours the list rarely runs past twenty minutes. Doors open at 2:00pm daily and the kitchen runs to 10:00pm Sunday through Wednesday and 11:00pm Thursday through Saturday, which is late enough to come in after an afternoon two-tank and still eat properly. The courtyard is set back off Melgar, so it is noticeably quieter than the boulevard outside. Group and private-event enquiries go through info@guidoscozumel.com.

Getting There

The restaurant sits directly on the waterfront boulevard, a short walk north of the Punta Langosta pier and an easy walk from the downtown dive shops clustered along the malecon. Any taxi running Melgar will drop you at the door.
