Why Choose Dive With Charro
A single departure is a scheduling advantage, not a limitation. Shops running two or three daily rotations move guides and boats between groups. One 9:30 departure means the crew has one job that morning, and the schedule does not compress because an earlier trip ran late. Custom timings are arranged on request for divers who need something else.

Location And Logistics

Fifty-Seven Years Of It
This is the longest thread in Cozumel diving still being pulled by the same family. Charro started diving here in 1968, working as a divemaster with Aqua Safari, and became one of the island's first certified instructors. He went independent in 1989, launching a boat called the Sinaloa, since replaced by My Way.
His son Carlos grew up in the business and now works as boat captain, sailor and divemaster. The crew includes Antonio, a captain and Cozumel native, and Rafael, a sailor. The longest-serving employee has been there more than nine years.
The Day
One departure, 09:30 daily, described as adjustable. Trips include lunch, fresh fruit, bottled water and soft drinks.
The shop is on 1st between Avenidas 10 and 15 Sur, in Colonia Centro. The specific pier is not published, so confirm it.
What They Run
Two-tank boat dives, one-tank boat dives, one-tank beach dives, night dives, twilight dives, snorkelling and fishing. Named special trips include Barracuda, Cantarell, Punta Sur and Maracaibo. Nitrox is available at 32% and 36%.
Courses cover Discover Scuba from beach or boat, Open Water over three days, the Open Water referral, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Nitrox certification, and refreshers from beach or boat.
Rental covers BCDs, regulators, wetsuits, mask, fins and snorkel, computers and dive lamps.

One thing to check: no training agency affiliation is stated anywhere on the site, which is unusual for a shop teaching Open Water and Rescue. Ask which agency certifies you before enrolling — it determines the card you walk away with.
One Thing About Diving Cozumel
Barracuda and Maracaibo are not beginner sites. They sit at the northern and southern extremes of the island, they are exposed, and the current on them can be serious. Shops that name them are telling you they will take experienced divers somewhere real — and that you should be honest about your logbook.
