Cha Cha Cha Dive Shop has been operating on Cozumel since 1991. That makes it one of the longest-running dive businesses on the island still in independent hands, predating most of the operators working the same reefs today. It runs from the Carretera Costera Sur at Km 6.5 and is a PADI shop and DAN member.

Language and Clientele
The shop's public presence is Spanish-first. That is a fair signal about who it is used to serving: this is a local operation rather than one built around cruise-ship volume. English-speaking divers are well catered for on Cozumel generally, but if you want a shop where Spanish is the working language, this is one.
Dive Trips
Standard two-tank reef and drift trips form the core of the schedule, departing from Km 6.5 on the Costera Sur. The shop also runs an online store for equipment.
Location and Logistics
Km 6.5 puts the shop in the marina cluster south of San Miguel, close to the departure point for most of the island's reef diving and a shorter run to the southern walls than any downtown pier. Confirm pick-up arrangements when booking.
Who It Is Best For
Divers who want a small boat above all else, and who value a long track record over marketing polish. Spanish-speaking visitors. Divers returning to Cozumel who already know the reefs and want an operator that will read the conditions properly rather than following a fixed rotation.
It is less suited to divers who need everything explained in English at each step, or who want a large shop with a full course schedule running every week.
Thirty-Four Years, Same Hands
Cha Cha Cha was founded in 1991 and, by its own account, is still run by the same people in the same location — better than three decades on one island, which on Cozumel is a genuine credential rather than a slogan.
It is PADI dive center number S29142, DAN affiliated, and a ScubaFinders ambassador partner.
Seven Divers, Hard Cap
The group limit is seven divers per boat, stated as a deliberate rejection of crowded diving rather than a capacity constraint. Boats are described as specially adapted for divers' comfort and safety.
What They Run
Two-tank and three-tank dives for certified divers, twilight and night dives, intro dives and Discover Scuba for beginners, bull shark encounters, a bull shark and cenote combination day, private snorkel tours and freediving.
Courses cover Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Nitrox and the Open Water referral, plus a refresher for divers returning after a break. Specialties are offered on request.
The Shop Itself
This is a full facility rather than a boat and a phone number: Nitrox fills, equipment sales and rental, DPV scooter rental, a classroom, a dive club, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and adaptive services.
Stock includes Bonassi BCDs, Zephyr regulators, Aries wetsuits, Hera masks, Draco spearfishing gear and Snapper Titanium.
