View DetailsCervecería Punta Sur is the first and still the only brewery on Cozumel, making its beer on the premises a few blocks inland from the waterfront. It is a genuinely local operation rather than a tourist bar with imported taps.
A relaxed, informal brewpub. The house range covers IPA, amber ale, stout, blonde ale and wheat beer, with seasonal batches turning up alongside them, and tasting flights are the sensible way in if you have not tried Mexican craft before. The kitchen turns out brick-oven pizzas and empanadas, including vegetarian and vegan options, and lionfish sometimes appears as a special — which is worth ordering, since eating them helps the reef.
Open daily 11:00 to 23:00. Mid-range prices. Free Wi-Fi, table service, takeout and step-free access. It sits inland from the Malecón in Centro, about three blocks from the seafront and an easy walk from the main square, which makes it a practical stop between a Centro dive shop and dinner.
Head inland from the waterfront to 10a Avenida and find number 220, between Calle Adolfo Rosado Salas and Calle 3. It is roughly a ten-minute walk from the ferry pier and a short taxi ride from the southern hotel zone or the marinas.
