Overview

San Francisco Beach Club occupies part of Playa San Francisco at Km 14 on the Carretera Costera Sur, one of the longest stretches of genuinely soft sand on Cozumel. It is a good-value option for a full beach day with watersports included rather than sold piecemeal, and an easy place to leave non-diving members of a group.

The Beach And Water

The sheltered western coast, with calm water, a sandy bottom and no rocks at the entry, which makes it comfortable for weak swimmers and children. The club advertises the beach specifically as soft white sand with no rocks. Snorkelling here is shallow and sandy rather than reef work, so treat it as a swim rather than a dive site.

Day Pass And What's Included

The published day pass is $20 USD, discounted from a $40 regular rate. It covers full access to the club, snorkelling, a paddleboard, kayak, floating mat and inflatable water toys, the pool, wifi, an umbrella, a beach lounger and restrooms. Food and drink are charged separately or bundled in an upgraded package.

Good To Know

Open 9:00 to 17:00. The beach is public, so the club fee buys the loungers, pool and kit rather than access to the sand itself.
