Chichi Charters Cozumel

Chichi Charters does not run shared trips at all. Every booking is the whole boat, which on a fishing charter is the difference between having all the lines to yourself and taking turns with strangers. Departure times are set by the customer rather than a timetable.

What The Trip Includes

A private boat with all lines to yourselves, the fishing licence, all tackle and gear, a bathroom and a shaded area on board, free beer, purified bottled water, soft drinks and margaritas, and cleaning and filleting of your catch. Six-hour trips add snacks and eight-hour charters include lunch.

Boat And Group Size

Deep sea fishing is priced for up to four passengers: $575 for four hours, $725 for six and $900 for eight, with additional passengers at $60 to $80 each. Combination trips pairing fishing with snorkelling, or fishing, snorkelling and sunset, run at the same six and eight-hour rates. Private snorkelling trips take up to six passengers at $500 for four hours or $650 for six, as does the glass bottom boat.

Good To Know

Deposits are required per booking and the balance is due in cash at the marina; PayPal card payments carry a seven percent surcharge, and groups of ten or more have a twenty percent crew gratuity added. The fishing and snorkelling combo is the sensible booking for a group where not everybody wants to hold a rod all morning.

Getting There

Boats leave from Marina Fonatur Cozumel, a short taxi ride from the cruise piers. Hotel pickups are available at the southern end of the island. Departure times are set to suit your booking.
