Overview

Cozumel Charters has been booking boats on the island since at least 2005 and covers the whole range, from a cheap center console for a couple of hours of trolling to an air-conditioned Viking for a group that wants to fish in comfort. Rates are per boat, not per person, which is the honest way to price a charter.

What The Trip Includes

Charter types cover deep sea fishing, bottom fishing, snorkelling, sunset cruises and custom itineraries. Box lunches can be added at $15 each. A 25 percent deposit is taken by major credit card or PayPal, with the remainder due in cash on the day.

Boat And Group Size

Six categories, all priced per boat for four, six and eight hours. Economy is a 23 to 29ft center console for four at $350, $450 and $550. Full-Size is a 28 to 32ft cabin cruiser for six at $450, $550 and $650. Luxury is a 33 to 36ft deluxe sportfisher for eight at $550, $650 and $750. Super Luxury is a 48ft Viking air-conditioned yacht for twelve at $1,050, $1,600 and $2,100. Fly fishing and spinning run on a Mexican panga for three at $325, $375 and $425. A separate private snorkelling boat for twenty runs $320, $360 and $400.

Good To Know

The panga fly fishing option is the cheapest way onto the flats on the island, and the snorkelling boat means a mixed group can book fishing and snorkelling from the same office. Bring the balance in cash.

Getting There

Boats depart from Marina Caleta, Marina Cozumel and Marina Puerto Abrigo depending on the vessel. Confirm which one when you book. The Cozumel office is reachable on +52 987 869 8560.
