Overview

Cozumel Adventure Planet sells the El Cielo experience two ways: fast and cheap on a speedboat, or slower and more comfortable on a catamaran. Both are four hours, both include a bilingual certified guide, and both leave from a working marina rather than a crowded cruise dock.

What The Trip Includes

Snorkel gear and life vest, a bilingual certified guide, and food and drink on board: ceviche, tortilla chips, guacamole, fruit with Tajin, plus soft drinks, bottled water and beer. The speedboat El Cielo experience is $55 for adults and $40 for children. The catamaran version is $100. A marine park fee of $11 per person is collected separately.

Boat And Group Size

Two vessel types, a speedboat and a catamaran, both on a four-hour itinerary to the El Cielo sandbar and surrounding reefs. The operator also runs private catamaran charters and a night snorkel for those wanting something less standard.

Good To Know

The $11 marine park fee is extra, so budget for it. Pricing is also published in pesos at MX$950 for the speedboat and MX$1,700 for the catamaran, which can be the cheaper way to pay. Office and WhatsApp hours are short, 10am to midday, so send your enquiry early.

Getting There

Departures are from Marina Caleta or Marina Fonatur, with hotel pickups available in the southern hotel zone. The exact departure point is confirmed after booking.
