Overview

Cozumel Cruise Excursions books whole boats rather than seats, which is the difference between sharing the ladder with strangers and setting your own pace at Palancar. Three vessel sizes cover everything from a couple on a panga to an extended family on a yacht, and the dock is close to the cruise piers.

What The Trip Includes

Mask, fins, snorkel and snorkelling vests are supplied, along with professional certified English-speaking dive masters as in-water guides. The standard run makes two stops of about 45 minutes each at Palancar Reef and Columbia Reef. A $10 per passenger government marine park fee is charged separately, and box lunches can be added at $20 per passenger.

Boat And Group Size

Three options, all private: a 25ft panga fast boat for one to six guests at $350 for four hours or $450 for six; a 43ft Chris Craft for up to twelve at $700 for four hours or $850 for six, with $30 per extra passenger beyond ten; and a 55ft Pro Yacht for up to fourteen at $1,200 for four hours or $1,500 for six, with $50 per extra passenger beyond ten.

Good To Know

Because you charter the whole boat, timings are flexible and the crew will work around a late docking or a partner's dive schedule. The operator also books island tours, buggies and beach breaks if you want to combine.

Getting There

Boats leave from the company's own dock near the cruise ship piers, with start times arranged to suit your booking.
