Memo's Tacos Cozumel

Memo''s Tacos is on the Carretera Costera Sur at kilometre 8.5, out past Chankanaab on the south coastal road. That location matters: it is the stretch of highway that runs past the shore-diving entries and the southern beach clubs, where decent food is thin on the ground.

Tacos, chilaquiles, sopes and quesadillas, all in the generous end of the portion range. Coffee is served alongside, and the menu covers breakfast through to dinner rather than specialising in one service.

If you are shore diving the south end of the island or heading to Punta Sur for the day, this is the closest real food to the water.

Getting There

Carretera Costera Sur, Chankanaab Km 8.5, south of San Miguel. You will pass it on the coastal road heading to the southern dive sites, beach clubs and Punta Sur. Rented scooter, taxi or car all work; it is not a walk from town.
