Mister Taco

Mr. Taco sits on Calle Benito Juarez out at 55 Avenida, well inland from the tourist waterfront on the road that runs across the island. It is a family-run room with murals on the walls, a patio, and a bar, and it keeps a longer day than almost any taqueria on the island.

What To Order

Handmade tacos with fresh corn tortillas pressed daily, plus the wider Mexican taqueria repertoire. Because the doors open at 7:00am you can eat tacos for breakfast here, which is a legitimate way to start a day of diving, and the kitchen keeps going straight through to 10:00pm.

Calle Benito Juarez at 55 Avenida, on the cross-island road east of the Centro grid. Take a taxi from the downtown waterfront or the marinas; it is too far to walk comfortably in the midday heat.
