View DetailsHemingway Restaurant Beach & Nightclub sits directly on the sand on Avenida Rafael E. Melgar, a walk north along the malecón from the ferry pier. It is one of the few places on the island that works as a beach bar in the afternoon and a nightlife venue after dark, rather than closing when the kitchen does.
Three things on one site: a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, a beach club on the water, and a nightclub for the evening programme. The kitchen is Caribbean fusion — seafood and traditional dishes built on local ingredients. The setting is open-air and beachfront, and it takes private events.
It opens early, at 8:30 most mornings and 9:00 on Sunday, and the closing time is what separates it from the rest of the island: 2:00 on Friday and Saturday, midnight Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, 23:00 Monday and Tuesday. If you want somewhere still going after the plaza bars have shut, this is one of the few options.
On the beach side of Rafael E. Melgar, between Boulevard Aeropuerto and the public beach, north of the town centre — roughly a ten-minute walk up the waterfront from the ferry pier. Call +52 987 105 0443 to check the evening programme, which varies by night.
