Overview

The Cabana Beach is a compact beach club at Km 9 on the Carretera Costera Sur, next to Chankanaab park on the sheltered south-west coast. It trades on private cabanas and a quieter atmosphere than the high-volume cruise clubs a few kilometres further south, which suits a couple or a small group looking for a slow day rather than a party.

The Beach And Water

This is the leeward side of Cozumel, shielded from the trade winds by the island itself, so the water is calm and swimmable on almost any day. That is the essential difference from the east coast, where the open Caribbean rolls in unbroken. The reef sits offshore along this stretch, making the water clear and good for a shallow snorkel.

Day Pass And What's Included

Entry and package prices are quoted on enquiry rather than published as a fixed gate price, and typically cover a cabana or lounger with service from the bar and kitchen. Confirm what your booking includes, and whether food and drink are on a minimum consumption or paid separately, when you reserve.

Good To Know

Open Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 17:00. Reserving a cabana ahead is sensible given how few there are, particularly on days with several ships in port.
