Aquí + Ahora Coffee

Aquí + Ahora sits on the seafront avenue a block north of the ferry terminal and does double duty: full espresso bar and Wi-Fi café by day, rooftop bar with an ocean view by night.

What To Expect

Espresso drinks and café food downstairs, and a roof terrace upstairs looking over the water. It is one of the few places downtown set up for people who want to work — free Wi-Fi, power, and no pressure to leave — and it keeps going long after other cafés close, with craft beer, wine and live music in the evenings. Vegetarian and vegan options are on the menu, and there is delivery and takeaway.

Good To Know

Open 8:00 to 1:00 Sunday to Thursday and 8:00 to 3:00 Friday and Saturday. The 8:00 start means it is not an option before an 8:00 or 8:30 boat, but it is ideal for a surface-interval coffee, a long afternoon of catching up on email, or a sunset drink. Mid-range prices. Getting There

On Avenida Rafael E. Melgar between Calle 2 Norte and Calle 4 Norte, one block north of the ferry pier — you can walk there from the boat in under two minutes. From the southern hotel zone, take any taxi to the Malecón.
