Coffee and breakfast in Cozumel matters most on dive mornings, when the boat leaves before much of the island is open.
Most two-tank trips brief early, and the gap between waking up and standing on a pier is short. Downtown San Miguel has the densest cluster of early kitchens and espresso, within walking distance of the Muelle Fiscal and the shops around it. The hotel zones are quieter: some properties open their own breakfast service early for divers and others do not, so it is worth asking the night before rather than finding out at seven in the morning.
