Villablanca Garden Beach Hotel is a low-rise, garden-set property on the coast road south of San Miguel, close enough to town that most guests walk in for dinner. It has been on the island for decades and trades on a quiet, planted setting rather than resort facilities.

Diving From Here

There is no dive operation on the property. What Villablanca offers divers is position: the hotel puts its distance from the city center at about a ten-minute walk, which means the downtown dive shops on Melgar and Salas — Aqua Safari, Deep Blue, Tres Pelicanos, Best Dive and the rest — are reachable on foot with a kit bag, and Marina Fonatur is a short taxi further south. The hotel does not publish dedicated gear rinse or locker facilities, so agree overnight storage with your dive operator.

The property has 50 superior and standard rooms plus three villas and a penthouse, set in gardens. The villas and penthouse suit longer stays and groups.

Good To Know

Verify what is currently open on site before booking — the hotel publishes little detail about restaurant or pool operation on its own website, and facilities at older Cozumel properties change season to season. It sits on the coast road, so expect some traffic noise on the seaward side.

Getting There

About ten minutes on foot into the center of San Miguel, or a very short taxi. The ferry terminal and the malecon are in the same direction.
