Stingray Villa

Stingray Villa is a small four-suite guest house on 15A Avenida Sur in central Cozumel, a few blocks back from the waterfront. It is built for divers and repeat visitors rather than for cruise-day crowds, and it is one of the very few downtown rentals that publishes proper gear handling.

Diving From Here

The villa keeps a dedicated rinse tank and drying line exclusively for guest dive gear, which removes the usual problem of a bathroom full of dripping wetsuits. The waterfront is a five-minute walk, the ferry terminal about fifteen, and more than a hundred downtown restaurants and shops sit inside a five-minute radius — which means most of the independent dive centers on Melgar, Salas and the numbered streets are walkable with a kit bag. Operators picking up at the downtown piers are the easiest fit; Marina Fonatur is a short taxi south.

Four private suites around a private pool and garden. Rates have been published at 89 USD per night on longer stays, which makes it one of the better-value dive bases in town.

Good To Know

This is a small guest house, not a hotel — no restaurant, no front desk around the clock. Downtown Cozumel is lively at night and the streets nearby carry scooter traffic.

Centro, on 15A Avenida Sur at Calle Jose Maria Morelos. Flat walking to the malecon, the square and the ferry.
