Overview

Secrets Aura Cozumel is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort on the southern coast road at Carretera Costera Sur Km 12.9. It is aimed at couples rather than dive clubs, but it is one of the small number of Cozumel all-inclusives with both a dive center and a pier of its own.

Diving From Here

The resort runs an on-site PADI dive center and has a pier used for diving and recreation. Dive House Cozumel is registered at the same Km 12.9 address and operates from the hotel. Km 12.9 sits between the resort strip and the far southern reefs, so boat runs to Palancar, Colombia and Punta Sur are short, and you board from the property instead of taxiing to Marina Fonatur. Stay-and-dive packages sold through island operators have been published at around 1,670 USD for seven nights with six dives.

Rooms And Facilities

Three pools: an infinity pool with ocean views, a social pool with a swim-up bar and two water slides, and a separate Preferred Club pool. Unlimited-Luxury all-inclusive covers meals, drinks and most activities. Adults only, so no children in the water or at breakfast.

Good To Know

The resort does not publish gear rinse or locker facilities separately from the dive center, so confirm overnight storage with the dive shop. It is a long way from town — this is a stay-put resort, not a base for shopping around independent operators.

Getting There

Km 12.9 on the southern coast road, roughly fifteen to twenty minutes by taxi from the central square and the ferry terminal.

Highlights

  • • Adults-only all-inclusive
  • • 266 rooms and suites
  • • Private pier

  • • On-site PADI dive center — the resort does not name the operator
