Read the plan rather than the category. Across these properties, the rate reliably covers rooms, meals across the property's restaurants, drinks, pools and non-motorized watersports. What varies, and what you should confirm in writing:

• Diving. Frequently excluded even where the dive center is on site. Occidental states this explicitly. Treat inclusion as the exception until the property confirms it.
• Marine park fees. Cozumel's reefs sit inside a national marine park with a per-diver fee. Ask whether it is in the dive price or collected separately.
• Gear rental and nitrox. Usually separate from both the resort rate and the basic dive package.
• Specialty and night dives. Almost always extra.
• Airport transfers. Varies by property and by rate.
