View DetailsOur recommended island activities
The east side of Cozumel is the wild coast, and its beach clubs are a different proposition entirely.
This shore faces open Caribbean with nothing between it and the sea. There is surf, there are currents, there is no reef snorkeling, and no dive boat will pick you up here. What there is instead is space, a coast road with almost nothing built along it, and a run of beach bars and kitchens that many visitors never reach. It is the best half-day on the island for anyone who has had enough of boats. Conditions change with the wind rather than the season, so on a rough day swimming is not the point of the trip, and it is worth bringing what you need with you.
The listings below cover the clubs along the east coast, with the details each one publishes. Reaching this side is easier with a vehicle, and the car rental directory covers that, while the beach clubs front door shows the calm-water side instead.
